Bath or shower
The Essential Laws of Tips Explained
Some people see the bath tub as the greatest place to unwind, complete with soothing music and sweet-smelling candles. Others find it boring to sit in lukewarm water and love a quick, revitalizing shower. Go for whatever suits you. If you’re more into showers, buy a scented shower gel. If you’re more into the bath tub, liven it up with bath gels and/or oils, as well as anything that will help you unwind. Listen to some soothing music While some may find classic music soothing, if you’re more into classic rock, put it on and have a little jive to wipe off that stress. Read some book Whether the book’s on the good old paper or in electronic format, reading good material could help you forget about all the worries of the world. Just choose carefully and go for something that you can put down easily. The ideal book for relaxation is one that is fairly interesting, not too captivating. Take deep breaths Take a break of 5 minutes focusing on your breathing. With your eyes closed, sit up straight. Place a hand on your stomach. Slowly breathe in through your nose. Then reverse the deed by breathing out via your mouth. Deep breathing lowers blood pressure and slows the heart rate to counteract the effects of stress. Take a drink Have 1-2 drinks. But this is no excuse for you to get really drunk and pass out in bed. However, if having some wine or cold beer lets you relax, by all means do it. Get comfy Get in a relaxing mood by changing into something comfortable. Do you have a favorite outfit lying around your house? As long as it’s comfy, put it on. Slip into your boxer shorts, put on your night shirt, move around in the buff–do anything possible to relax. Be in nature Get outdoors and sit on a stool or blanket and let your mind go quiet as you engage each of your senses. This is a very powerful way to unwind. Do you see, smell and hear anything? Try all or some of these relaxation techniques and you’ll surely find one that helps you unwind and relax after a busy day at work.
