Finally, there’s a modern alternative to mental health therapy, one that doesn’t rely solely on medication and talk therapy and instead focuses on a more holistic approach to wellness.

For individuals or families with loved ones dealing with emotional issues like depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD and autism; sleep issues such as insomnia; and other conditions such as pre-dementia, traumatic brain injury or concussions— anyone desiring healthy brain optimization for that matter—Alyne Wellness in Agoura Hills is where patients can find custom-tailored treatments that are safe and effective.

“At Alyne Wellness, our core belief is in addressing the root cause of an individual’s challenges rather than simply masking the symptoms,” says Kristin Robert, 35, director of business development for the company.

“By focusing on the source, symptoms naturally begin to fade, bringing a sense of relief.”

According to Robert, company owner and CEO Nick Mathews, 31, has a lengthy history of working and owning businesses that pertain to the prioritization of mental health.

“In addition to Alyne Wellness, Nick owns and operates two drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers: Stillwater Behavioral

Health and Summit Malibu, Robert says.

A Calabasas resident, Robert works closely with a team of dedicated staff members, clinicians and technicians, including Kelly Sarac, 48, the office manager who has been with Alyne since it opened in June 2022 and has a passion for helping individuals in need. Also on the team is Shannon Hakakeyan, 31, a certified Physician Assistant who combines an extensive knowledge of the field with a full-on desire to deliver comprehensive patient care.

“We custom-tailor treatment plans using both subjective insights and objective data, ensuring that our care is as unique as each individual,” Robert says.

So how does the Alyne system work?

“Our program begins with a non-invasive, radiation-free EEG using a 19- lead cap to monitor brain activity. During a brief four-minute meditative session, the device measures alpha waves to provide insights into brain function,” she explains.

“Patients also complete tailored mood surveys that identify specific challenges they may be facing.”

Alyne specializes in a technique called Personalized repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, or PrTMS, that elevates the mind-body wellness journey for each individual based upon a customized mapping schedule.

PrTMS is a drug-free, non-invasive treatment therapy that stimulates brain activity to enhance cognitive function and improve emotional well-being.

“By combining EEG data with neuro-cognitive mood assessments, we create a personalized protocol for each individual,” says Robert, adding, “As the program progresses, the protocol is adjusted weekly to align with changes in neural communication, fostering positive shifts and measurable improvement over time.”

At Alyne Wellness, many of the clinicians and technicians have personally used PrTMS treatment protocols and understand firsthand what the benefits of the treatment can be. As a result, they are truly passionate about helping others find their own healing path.

Alyne Wellness is at 27509 Agoura Road, Ste. 205 in Agoura Hills. For more information, call (805) 552-5282 or go to alynewellness.com.
